Greetings from GB Network Solutions,

This message is addressed to GB Network Solutions Customers who use our Business Email Hosting.

As part of our efforts to enhance performance and security, we successfully completed Phase 1, which involved migrating to a new server on 7th September 2024.

We are now moving forward with Phase 2, which involves upgrading SmarterMail to the latest version. This upgrade is scheduled as follows:

Purpose of Maintenance

1. Performance Improvements: The new version includes optimizations to improve overall email performance and system efficiency, ensuring faster and more reliable email delivery.
2. Security Enhancements: The upgrade includes critical security patches to better protect your email accounts from potential threats.
3. Bug Fixes and Stability: This update addresses known issues and enhances the stability of our email platform, providing you with a smoother user experience.

The maintenance is scheduled to commence on the following date and time:

Maintenance: Phase 2 – SmarterMail version upgrade to the latest release
Server Maintenance Date: 21st September 2024 (Saturday)
Start Time: 12.00 AM GMT+8 (Malaysia Time)
End Time: 2.00 AM GMT+8 (Malaysia Time)

Expected Downtime: 1 hour

Please take note of the following:

1. There will be a brief disruption in email services during the SmarterMail upgrade. This includes webmail, POP3, IMAP, and SMTP connections, as well as any other SmarterMail-related services. Rest assured, our team will work diligently to minimize any potential downtime or inconvenience.
2. Your current email login credentials will remain the same. There is no need to update or modify any of your passwords or email settings after the upgrade.
3. Once the upgrade is completed, you will be able to access your email services as usual. Your email accounts, settings, and data will remain intact, and there will be no changes to your email configurations.

We will notify you as soon as the maintenance is complete. Should you have any queries regarding this maintenance, feel free to reach out to us. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
